		<description>Ted,

I would also agree with Posnanski&#039;s article. In some respect, McGwire did the &quot;honorable&quot; thing in not making false statements to Congress. And there is no question in my mind that Mac has Hall of Fame numbers.

However, the point of my article does not change. The evidence to date in his first three shots at the Hall clearly tells us that McGwire WILL NEVER BE ELECTED TO THE HOF by the BBWAA. I can see no other logical conclusion.

In Part 2, I will make the point that there are 7 other players with HOF numbers who will never be elected by the BBWAA either.

		<description>Mike,
I have to agree with Joe Posnanski--see link to article below-- that in retrospect, McGwire looks better and better. Not saying anything to Congress was the best choice he had and the most honorable. I am not certain whether the BBWAA will be open to admiting when they are wrong, but at some point McGwire will get in, even if he has to wait for the veterans committee. Here is the link to Joe&#039;s article. He will always be one of my favorite players, and in my daughter&#039;s top two with Cal. --Ted Leavengood
