My name is Bob Salomon and I have put together a wonderful project that is getting national attention and is capturing the heart of the nation.
The book is on a journey skyward and the goal is to be # 1 in the country. Several companies are on board including Rawlings, Louisville Slugger, Upper Deck, Modell’s Sporting Goods. Professional players and organizations include Jason Grilli, Ken Griffey, Joe Torre, Tommy John, Craig Biggio, Sean Casey, Brent Mayne,Bernie Williams, Nelson Cruz,Phil Niekro, Dick Drago, WBO/World Baseball Outreach, USA Cares,Cheerful Givers, and The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center.
Additionally the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) sent 30 copies of the book to each of the members of their Global foundation to use to bring baseball back into the Olympics. It is an absolute honor to have our book used for a task of such Global magnitude.
Please visit my site at www.agloveoftheirown.com. I would love to talk to you about what we are doing and how you can support our mission by joining the team!
I have done several shows on both television and radio to help spread the exciting news about the book and the A Glove of Their Own movement. Samples of each are on my site (Note: I look much thinner in person-Ha Ha,Ha..!!)
Thanks so much,
We give back $3.00 per book to any non-profits that support us and share the vision of “Paying It Forward.”

Also .30 cents a book is donated to non-profits that help get equipment to children. (Total $3.30 to charity!!)

The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center
joins “A Glove Of Their Own“
a children’s book that is touching hearts across the nation
Baseball stars across the country are stepping up to support the award-winning children’s book, ” A Glove of Their Own.” The book promotes the message and importance of sharing what you have with those in need and The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is proud to join the team. Sales of every book will benefit our organization.
Bob Salomon, co-creator of the book and driving force of the movement said, “As a little league coach and proud father of two, I am passionate about the importance of ‘paying it forward’ and grateful for the opportunity to work with corporate America to promote this powerful message and help children across the country. A Glove of Their Own illustrates this message. It utilizes baseball and a childhood experience found within a group of underprivileged children that touches their hearts and changes their lives forever. Their love of the game is not defined by the equipment they don’t have but rather by the passion and dreams that they do have.”
“A Glove of Their Own” has caught the attention of many baseball greats, including Tommy John, Bernie Willliams, Roy White, Sean Casey, Craig Biggio, Joe Torre, Nelson Cruz, Dick Drago, Brent Mayne, Phil Niekro, Buddy Harrelson, Jim “Mudcat” Grant, Bill Lee and Jason Grilli. We have many non-profits on board including, The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, USA Cares, Roberto Clemente Kids and WBO/World Baseball Outreach, just to name a few. The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center is our latest addition to this list and a perfect fit as a forerunner in helping children and making a difference.
