by Mike Lynch

We’ve updated our database section to include KJOK’s Ballpark Stat Splits that date all the way back to 1871!

Here are some of the features you’ll find in our new Ballpark Stat Splits file:

  • A list of every ballpark ever used in major league baseball, including those used in the National Association (1871-1875), the American Association (1882-1891), the Union Association (1884), the Players League (1890), and the Federal League (1914-1915).
  • Park configurations, including: seating capacity, surface, outfield distances, wall heights, and notes (where applicable).
  • Home team stat splits broken down by ballpark: With the ballpark breakdown, you can see how the Montreal Expos performed at Olympic Stadium vs. Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico, for example (2003-2004).
