around in a van with their dog.\u00c2\u00a0 (Just tell them to leave Scrappy Doo at home.)<\/p>\n<p>Ghosts are haunting Yankee Stadium!<\/p>\n<p>The Curse of the Bambino\u00e2\u20ac\u201dBabe Ruth\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s posthumous revenge for Harry Frazee\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s decision to sell the slugger to the Yankees to finance one of Frazee\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dreadful theatrical endeavors\u00e2\u20ac\u201donce, the scourge of Red Sox Nation has<a href=\"http:\/\/listverse.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/ruthbaberedsox.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/listverse.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/ruthbaberedsox.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"240\" \/><\/a> shifted its focus to the right-handed starters of the home town Yankees.<\/p>\n<p>In 2003, the Yankees and Red Sox engaged in yet another epic postseason battle.\u00c2\u00a0 With New York down 5-2 heading into the eighth inning of Game 7, Aaron Boone has said that Derek Jeter told him to be patient, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the ghosts will eventually come out.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>They did.\u00c2\u00a0 The Yankees tied the game, and won it in the eleventh with a walk-off by that same Aaron Boone.<\/p>\n<p>That night may have been the last time the ghosts were on the side of the home team.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/assets.nydailynews.com\/img\/2010\/03\/07\/gal_yankees_stadium02.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 5px 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/assets.nydailynews.com\/img\/2010\/03\/07\/gal_yankees_stadium02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"403\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a>As early as 2001, Rudy Giuliani\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthen mayor of New York City\u00e2\u20ac\u201dhad been in talks with the Yankee brass to build a new Yankee Stadium.\u00c2\u00a0 In 2005, Giuliani\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s successor, Michael Bloomberg, finalized that plan, and a year later, the Yankees had broken ground on that new baseball amusement park that now sits at 161<sup>st<\/sup> Street and River Avenue.\u00c2\u00a0 Last year, they tore down the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153House That Ruth Built.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The ghosts were not amused.<\/p>\n<p>For the last decade, the spirit of the Sultan of Swat has been enacting his revenge against the very same people he so regularly preyed upon in life\u00e2\u20ac\u201dright-handed pitchers.\u00c2\u00a0 Against righties, Ruth hit almost 30 points higher, drove in 862 more runs, and hit 266 (more 2005, Carl Pavano was injured for a majority of the 2007 season, and upon his return in 2008, his average fastball velocity was even lower at 87.9 mph.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Phil Hughes made the move to the starting rotation last season.\u00c2\u00a0 He came into the majors touted as the second coming of Roger Clemens\u00e2\u20ac\u201da tall flamethrower\u00e2\u20ac\u201dyet has only pushed his fastball up to 93 mph on average.\u00c2\u00a0 He lost only a little off his fastball last year, but came out of spring training in 2011 averaging 89.2 mph, as opposed to 92.6 mph in 2010 and 93.8 mph in 2009.\u00c2\u00a0 On April 17th, Hughes went on the DL with &#8220;arm fatigue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pretty clear: the Yankees angered the Caliph of Clout by evicting his spirit and he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s taking it out on their high value right-handed pitchers, just like he did when he was alive.<\/p>\n<p>This is the new Curse of the Bambino.<em><a href=\"http:\/\/actionflickchick.com\/superaction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Ghostbusters.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"margin: 5px 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/actionflickchick.com\/superaction\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Ghostbusters.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"215\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>My advice to the Yankees organization is to do whatever is necessary to appease the Colossus of Clout.\u00c2\u00a0 Rub sweat on the brow of his monument like Roger Clemens used to, ply his shrine with offerings of hot dogs and beer, or proffer virgins to his memorial.***\u00c2\u00a0 Because it seems like until they get this straightened out, right-handed starters aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t going to succeed in Yankee
