{"id":963,"date":"2009-02-06T17:54:54","date_gmt":"2009-02-07T00:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/seamheads.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/06\/shl-getting-mad-love-especially-from-canada\/"},"modified":"2009-02-06T17:54:54","modified_gmt":"2009-02-07T00:54:54","slug":"shl-getting-mad-love-especially-from-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seamheads.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/06\/shl-getting-mad-love-especially-from-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"SHL Getting Mad Love (Especially from Canada)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>League members aren&#8217;t the only ones enjoying the Seamheads Historical League.<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When I first introduced myself to the General Managers of the Seamheads Historical League, I asked them if they would consider blogging about our league, and most happily obliged.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/stlcardinals.scout.com\/2\/798741.html\" target=\"_blank\">Dustin Mattison<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/royalsblog.kansascity.com\/?q=node\/213\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Mellinger<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/jonahkeri.com\/2008\/10\/09\/help-me-choose-my-all-time-expos-team\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jonah Keri<\/a> implored their readers to help them build their respective teams&#8217; rosters.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/joeposnanski.com\/JoeBlog\/2008\/10\/16\/cleveland-top-40\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Posnanski<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/blogzone\/bird-land\/bird-land\/2008\/10\/team-from-the-time-zone-baseball-forgot\/\" target=\"_blank\">Derrick Goold<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/neatesager.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/zen-dayley-toronto-top-40-you-wont-hear.html\" target=\"_blank\">Neate Sager<\/a> announced their selections to their readers (Goold even went so far as to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stltoday.com\/blogzone\/bird-land\/bird-land\/2008\/11\/dbacks-debut-logo-is-better-than-the-lineup\/\" target=\"_blank\">unveil a custom-made team logo<\/a> designed by Kurt Hunzeker), and <a href=\"http:\/\/ducksnorts.com\/blog\/2009\/01\/tht-season-preview-seamheads-historical-league.html\" target=\"_blank\">Geoff Young<\/a> has his readers following the virtual San Diego Padres and Portland Beavers.<\/p>\n<p>Sager has kept his readers updated on the <a href=\"http:\/\/neatesager.blogspot.com\/2009\/02\/atjs-hey-nineteen-wins-against-only.html\" target=\"_blank\">early success of his All-Time Blue Jays squad<\/a>, and Curt Schilling <a href=\"http:\/\/38pitches.weei.com\/general\/what-am-i-up-to\/\" target=\"_blank\">recently told his readers<\/a> at 38 Pitches, &#8220;The league is being managed by some diehards and there are some cool blog reports on the league action so far.&#8221;
