Well, Albert Pujols may read this blog, but obviously the front office doesn’t.

A Busy Day in Cardinal Nation

Losing a game in the ninth inning is enough fodder for debate. A trade, by itself, makes for a big day. Put them together and you’ve got a lot of unrest and discussion going on in Cardinal Nation. Let’s take the game first before delving into the move of Chris Duncan to the Boston Red […]
Retiring the Colonel

If last night was supposed to be Todd Wellemeyer pitching for his job, he didn’t act like it.

OK, most of you know about the free stuff, but let me get this out of the way first before we talk about the last two games against the Brewers.
Slow News Day

An off day around the All-Star Break usually doesn’t give us much to talk about. Â Still, there were a couple of things that were pretty interesting.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July weekend. Â If you spent some of it watching the Cardinals, you weren’t that disappointed.
Pleasant Surprises

Much like a child who continually tests your patience, then surprises you by doing something sweet and kind (not that either of my kids would ever do that, of course), Todd Wellemeyer came out and gave a jolt to Cardinal Nation.

Cardinals Get Ugly

Hopefully they were just saving it for today’s matchup of Chris Carpenter and Johan Santana. Because last night’s effort, if you can call it that, for the Cardinals was sorely lacking.
Taking Advantage

You know, when the total active roster of the New York Mets has just one more home run than Albert Pujols has by himself, games like last night should be the rule, not the exception.
Cardinals Struggle In Big Apple

The On The Run people were probably pretty busy this weekend as the Cards really got serious in Kansas City. When the Cards wind up scoring 29 runs in the three game set, there are a lot of offensive heroes. Let’s break down the series game by game.
