August 3, 2021 Partners With “A Glove of Their Own” to Help Raise Awareness About Domestic Violence

Baseball stars across the country are stepping up to support the award-winning children’s book A Glove of Their Own, which promotes the message and importance of sharing what you have with those in need. So it is with great pleasure that I announce that The Jennifer A. Lynch Fund has joined the Glove team and that sales of every book will benefit our Fund. The Jennifer A. Lynch Fund was founded by my mother, Patricia Norling, five years ago as a means to educate and spread awareness about domestic violence in the wake of my sister Jennifer’s tragic murder on Valentine’s Day 2006.

Bob Salomon, co-creator of the book and driving force of the movement said, “As a little league coach and proud father of two, I am passionate about the importance of ‘paying it forward’ and grateful for the opportunity to work with corporate America to promote this powerful message and help children across the country. A Glove of Their Own illustrates this message. It utilizes baseball and a childhood experience found within a group of underprivileged children that touches their hearts and changes their lives forever. Their love of the game is not defined by the equipment they don’t have but rather by the passion and dreams that they do have.”

A Glove of Their Own has caught the attention of many baseball greats, including Tommy John, Bernie Willliams, Roy White, Sean Casey, Craig Biggio, Joe Torre, Nelson Cruz, Jim Eisenreich, Michel Cuddyer, Brent Mayne, Phil Niekro, Buddy Harrelson and Jim “Mudcat” Grant. We have many non-profits on board including, The Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, USA Cares, Roberto Clemente Kids, WBO/World Baseball Outreach, and The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, just to name a few. The Jim Eisenreich Foundation and Jennifer A. Lynch Fund are our latest additions to this list and a perfect fit as a forerunner in making a difference.

The book can be ordered now at When ordering, please select the charity code JLF-123 and The Jennifer A. Lynch Fund will receive $3.00 from the sale of every book.

Thank you.
